Educational Dinners
Our Educational Dinner program is designed to provide education to our community members on everything from how to thrive with a bleeding disorder to the newest medical and treatment breakthroughs. Held at least monthly, these dinners provide an opportunity for our community members to build a stronger foundation for themselves and their families.
Young Families
When facing any issue, particularly a bleeding disorder, it is important to have a community to back you up. This program allows families to get together and build relationships in order to provide vital assistance to each other, whether that be phyical or emotional. Young Families currently meets quarterly.
Women Connected
No matter who you are–a bleeding disorder patient, family member, or caregiver–we know women in the bleeding community face unique challenges. That’s why we created Women Connected. Women Connected gives women (ages 14 and up) the chance to share their struggles, find support, and, of course, have some fun along the way.
Man to Man
This group of men (aged 12 and up) come together as those with bleeding disorders, caregivers, parents, spouses, and siblings to provide a safe and confidential place to share their experiences and learn from others as they work towards living fuller lives. These events also provide an opportunity for fun and community building!
Young Leaders
Young Leaders hosts events for teens and young adults ages 12 to 25. The Junior Board members participate in monthly board meetings. Teen leaders also participate in the Hemophilia Council of California Future Leaders Program and NBDF’s Washington Days.
