CENTRAL CALIFORNIA BLEEDING DISORDERS FOUNDATION (CCBDF)
2024 BEHAVIOR GUIDELINES

ACTIVITY: All activities at a CCBDF event in 2024

In consideration of my being permitted to participate in-person at a CCBDF event, wherever that opportunity may occur, I hereby attest that, after reading this Form completely and carefully, I acknowledge that my participation in the Activity is entirely voluntary, and I further understand and agree as follows:

It is the policy of the Central California Bleeding Disorders Foundation that all participants, including attendees, exhibitors, vendors, CCBDF staff, volunteers, and all other stakeholders at CCBDF meetings both in-person and virtually will conduct themselves in a professional manner that is welcoming to all participants and free from any form of discrimination, harassment, or retaliation.

Participants will treat each other with respect and consideration to create a collegial, respectful, inclusive, and professional environment at CCBDF events both in person and virtually. Creating a supportive environment to enable discourse at CCBDF meetings is the responsibility of all participants.

Unacceptable Behavior

CCBDF will not tolerate any form of illegal discrimination or harassment on the basis an individual’s race (including, but not limited to, hair texture and protective hairstyles such as braids, locks, and twists), color, religion, religious creed (including religious dress and grooming practices), national origin, ancestry, citizenship, physical or mental disability, medical condition (including cancer and genetic characteristics), genetic information, marital status, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, or related medical conditions), gender (including gender identity and gender expression), actual or perceived age (40 and older), sexual orientation, veteran and/or military status (including status as a uniformed service member, a veteran, or dependent of a service member, or unfavorable discharge from military service), domestic violence victim status, political affiliation, work authorization status,  or any other status protected by federal, state, or local laws.

Harassing conduct includes, but is not limited to: unlawful harassment, derogatory comments, epithets, slurs, or negative stereotyping; threatening, intimidating or hostile acts; denigrating jokes; and written, electronic, or graphic material that denigrates or shows hostility or aversion toward an individual or group and that take place online or on-site.

Consequences of Unacceptable Behavior

Upon receiving a report of unacceptable behavior, CCBDF’s priority will be the safety and security of participants. Sanctions for violating this Code of Conduct may range from verbal warning, being denied access to CCBDF events, to notifying appropriate authorities. Retaliation for complaints of inappropriate conduct will not be tolerated.
